SourceForge.net: Project Statistics for uniCenta oPOS Point-Of-Sale

  1. uniCenta oPOS is a branch of Openbravo POS (probably the best Open Source Point of Sale app' available) and one difference is that it has been re-designed to scale from 800x600pixel screen resolution, whereas Openbravo POS is designed for 1024x760pixel up.

Importantly, uniCenta oPOS has also been enhanced in several other areas, including ability to support up to 6 COM ports (instead of 4) and other enhancements such as the ability to kick a CashDrawer directly through a COM port (or USB if assigned) instead of via a printer.

uniCenta oPOS is ideal for the likes of Partner Tech's PT-6200 and PT-6212 All-in-One terminals and other earlier compact touch-screens, but our real aim was to extend it to enable it to run on the new, emerging PAD/Slate type devices like the Partner Tech EM-200.
